ABOUT MARY RAY
Mary Ray Fine Jewelry is synonymous with classically beautiful earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings that are reinterpreted ever so slightly for a more contemporary look and feel. Designed by artisan Mary Ray in Austin, Texas, each exquisite piece is hand wrought from recycled 14k or 18k gold, white gold, and pure sterling silver. Every component is hand forged or hand cast in California or Texas by metalsmiths using original wax sculptures. Each piece is set exclusively with conflict-free diamonds or semi-precious stones.
Mary Ray’s artistic sensibility is rooted in interior design. Having graduated from FIDM in Los Angeles, Mary began her career in set dressing and store management. She even hosted HGTV’s show, Find Your Style. During this time, Mary began to explore jewelry making; she took a few weekend fabrication classes and realized how much she loved working with her hands and forging metals. Shortly after, she enrolled in a full time metal arts program in San Francisco at The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts.
Mary’s design inspirations are endless. She’s inspired by the soft and irregular shapes in nature, invigorated by travel, and influenced by textiles, lighting designs, interiors, and fashion. Mary Ray Fine Jewelry is coveted by jewelry enthusiasts and celebrities alike. Actress Sandra Bullock is such a fan that she recently commissioned Mary to create a custom pair of earrings for herself and her girlfriends.
