Swing into Spring with Bold Strokes, Graphic Silhouettes, and Sharp Pattern The dizzying display of high contrast graphics that graced the Spring 2013 runways are hitting the shelves just in time to swing into spring. We love this look for its classic contrast and that it pays homage to one of our favorite fashion muses, Edie Sedgwick, the original Factory Girl. But, the runways aren’t the only place where these bold strokes are showing up. We’ve been seeing high contrast elements in home design and weddings too. We were lucky enough to be a premiere partner last week at The Lab, a handpicked collection of some of the top trend-setting wedding industry professionals from Northern California. We were so inspired by the different vignettes on display. One in particular that caught out interest was the graphic black and white theme from Bustle Events, Silvana DiFranco, La Fleuriste, Crisp Bake Shop and Print Your Party. This updated mod look is certainly playful and demands a mixing of patterns. Pairing circus stripes, checkerboard squares, or oversized houndstooth is definitely on-trend and the ‘It' look for spring. Whether in home decor, fashion or weddings--opposites attract. Be sure to check out our Black & White favorites and don’t forget to vote for yours! Have a bold, beautiful spring. Happy faving!
