Everything is coming up roses...or rose quartz, says Pantone, the “color authority” and the dominant color trend forecaster, who named rose quartz the color of 2016.
Pantone’s “Color of the Year” is an indicator of upcoming trends and its denotation often determines the fashion, accessories, and interior design industries’ palette preferences from year to year. “Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure," says Pantone. So it should be no surprise that designers are seeing pink this spring.
The spring 2016 runways were aglow in varying shades of pinks, roses, and blushes that took shape in hyper-ladylike forms like slip dresses, ruffled blouses, and sheer sensations. Fashion’s blush crush revealed itself through monochromatic designs, pink and black partnerings, and pink paired with orange.
Jewelry designers, also drawn to the color and the rose quartz gemstone, have followed suit this season, offering an array of styles that are soft and romantic, girly yet glamorous, and playful yet powerful.
At Favery, we’re tickled pink for rose quartz and are excited to share this collection with you.
